Emergency assistance and medical care for students

Students of the NUM who require a medical examination or certificate at short notice — for instance, to provide to the Examinations Office if they are unable to sit an exam due to illness — can visit the following nearby practice:

  • Joint Practice
    Ärztehaus am Ring
Äußere Sulzbacher Straße 8-10, 90489 Nuremberg
    Tel.: 0911-550100

The practice is located in the immediate vicinity of the university and also accepts new patients.

    Important notes on making appointments:

    • Students must call between 08:30 and 09:00 to make an emergency appointment (limited availability, first come – first served).
    • After making an appointment over the phone, students must come to the practice in person.
    • It is not possible to obtain a sick note or medical certificate without a personal examination (i.e. online or over the phone).
    • Admission without an appointment is not possible.
    • Certificates are subject to a fee (€15), even for those with statutory health insurance.
    • Support:
If you have any difficulties, Polliana Sattler from the Office for International Affairs and Scholarships will be happy to help you on +49 911 21522 152.
  • For acute complaints that are not life-threatening but require immediate medical attention, the on-call medical service (Tel.: 116117) is available.

Erasmus+ programmeIncoming students – with Erasmus+ to Nürnberg

The application for an Erasmus+ programme at our university is made in consultation with and with the nomination of the International Office of your home university via the new European application platform of the AEC EASY-Mobility Online.

Please note: Only complete applications that are submitted on time via EASY-Mobility Online and with the nomination of the home university will be accepted.

Students who are not studying at one of our ERASMUS+ partner universities, but are enrolled at a university in one of the programme countries, should contact the International Office of their university. If possible, we will then initiate an ERASMUS+ partnership. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the level of a cooperation agreement, as we receive many more ERASMUS+ applications each year than we can accept.

Dates and deadlines:

Application period for the winter semester 2024/25 (starting in October):
