Remote learning at Universities of Music: Exploring - Evaluating - Establishing

Aim of the project: Positive impulses from remote learning are taken up; digital university teaching is being developed through design, testing and evaluation of digitally supported teaching and learning arrangements. Teaching and examination formats that have been positively evaluated will then be integrated into existing curricula.

In order to cover the full range of teaching and learning scenarios as well as module categories at universities of music (individual artistic tuition, artistic group tuition, ensemble tuition/rehearsals, seminars, lectures), all departments are encouraged to participate in various sub-projects. Applications for sub-projects may be submitted by individual teachers and teams, including inter-departmental teams.

Strategy and Stages

  1. Exploring: Testing and extending of existing formats, platforms and technical possibilities, among others in specially equipped model rooms and by acquiring and working with different hardware and software.
  2. Evaluating: Monitoring and evaluating digital teaching and learning scenarios, including by teachers and students involved.
  3. Establishing: Integration of positively evaluated teaching and examination formats into existing curricula.
