News Success Rosa Lucia Matos Mendoza is a Cusanus Foundation scholarship holder

Violinist Rosa Lucia Matos Mendoza (class of Beate Keilhack) has been accepted as a Cusanuswerk scholarship holder. After a multi-stage selection process from July 2024 to March 2025, she will receive funding to support her further studies. The Catholic Church's scholarship programme for gifted students is one of the most significant funding initiatives in Germany, supporting individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment in academic, artistic, and social spheres.

Born in Munich and raised in a German-Bolivian family, she began playing the violin at the age of five and later completed a young student programme at the HfKM Regensburg. Since 2020, she has been studying on the artistic-educational course at the Nuremberg University of Music.

Alongside her main instrument, she studies jazz and baroque violin, teaches her own students, participates in church music projects, and works as a student assistant in the university's women's and equal opportunities office.
