News Success Publication by Dr Pascal Rudolph wins international award

Dr Pascal Rudolph teaches musicology with a focus on digitality at the Nuremberg University of Music. Since October 2023, he has been on sabbatical to hold the chair of musicology at the University of Potsdam. His book "Pre-existent Music in Film" was awarded a "Special Mention" at the Book Prize 2023 in Minneapolis. Congratulations!

In summer 2023, the biennial conference of the International Association for the Study of Popular Music (IASPM) was held in Minneapolis at the University of Minnesota. Pascal Rudolph was there as Secretary General of the German-speaking branch of IASPM and gave a lecture on collaborative working processes in film production. The International Book Prize 2023 was awarded during the conference. Pascal Rudolph's book "Pre-existent Music in Film" was awarded a "Special Mention". The book had previously won the 2022 Doctoral Prize of the Society for Music Research.
