News Pablo Acebedo Aparicio joins the Spanish National Youth Orchestra

The violinist Pablo Acebedo Aparicio (class of Prof. Dr Reto Kuppel) has won the audition for the JONDE, the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España. Congratulations!

Pablo Acebedo Aparicio, violin, studies at the Granada University of Music with Prof. Juan Raya and is currently an Erasmus student at the Nuremberg University of Music with Prof. Dr Reto Kuppel.

He has won many prizes at various competitions. These include 3rd prize in the Granada Conservatory soloist competition (2024), 1st prize in the "Paul Kochanski" competition organised by the "Manuel de Falla Soloists" association (2023), 2nd prize in the "Manuel del Águila" soloist competition (2022), and 2nd prize in the "Julián Arcas" chamber music competition (2021).

He has performed as a soloist with ensembles such as the Manuel de Falla Soloists (a group of professional musicians from the Granada City Orchestra), M. Colom (concertmaster of the Spanish National Orchestra) and the Granada and Almería Conservatory Orchestras.

As an academician of the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, he has been influenced by artists such as Sabine Meyer, Christian Zacharias, and Lucas Macías (formerly the solo oboist with the Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam).

He has attended masterclasses led by Birgit Kolar (former concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra), Prof. Dr. Reto Kuppel (NUM Nuremberg), Prof. Florin Paul (concertmaster of the Elbphilharmonie), Prof. Herwig Zack (NUM Würzburg) and Prof. A. García (Consevatorio Superior de Música).

In 2025, he won the audition to become concertmaster of the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra and joined the JONDE (Spanish National Youth Orchestra).
