Javier Zamora reached one of the most important milestones in his career at the age of 22 when he was appointed deputy principal clarinettist in the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. He is currently perfecting his skills at Nuremberg University of Music, where he is studying for a Master's degree under the guidance of Shirley Brill.
His solid technique, combined with great artistic sensibility, has enabled him to perform as a soloist on international stages, including the Auditorio Nacional and Auditorio Duques de Pastrana in Madrid. He has also collaborated with renowned ensembles including the Orquesta y Coro Nacionales de España (OCNE) and the Orquesta Joven de Andalucía (OJA).
He has been honoured at competitions such as the Paderewski Competition and the Vienna International Music Competition, and is renowned for his versatility and ability to engage a wide audience. He is committed to contemporary music and has premiered works by renowned composers such as David del Puerto, Daahoud Salim, and Aday Cartagena.
He was trained by Cristo Barrios at the Centro Superior Katarina Gurska, graduating with honours. During his studies, he was awarded the Katarina Gurska Foundation Scholarship for Artistic and Academic Excellence. He has also enriched his interpretative perspective by studying with renowned clarinettists such as Romain Guyot, Ralph Manno and Carlos Casadó.
