News Success Cosima Fischer von Mollard Wins 2nd Prize at the LIONS Music Competition

On 15 May 2026, the pianist Cosima Fischer von Mollard (class of Prof. Wolfgang Manz) won second prize at the nationwide Lions music competition in Stuttgart. Congratulations!

Nuremberg-born pianist Cosima Fischer von Mollard has already received several awards in recognition of her musical achievements. These include first prizes at the national level of the "Jugend musiziert" competition, the Sparkasse sponsorship Prize, the Peter-Josef-Kleinert Prize of the Fürth Theatre Association, the Hermann-Josef-Abs Prize, and the special prize of the German Foundation for Musical Life. She is also a Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Franken e. V. scholarship holder and a Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes scholarship recipient.
She performed with her long-standing duo partner, the cellist Eva Hofmann, at the Beethoven House in Bonn — an event broadcast by WDR. 
She is also a member of the NORIS Trio, with whom she won the Mozartverein 1829 e.V. Nuremberg chamber music competition and the audience prize.
