Qualifying exam

  • Main subject

    Artistic-practical exam
    Duration: 15-20 minutes
    A written programme must be brought to the examination.

    • A minimum of three works from at least three stylistic periods, including a complete piano concerto, selected by the examination board from a prepared repertoire of at least 60 minutes in length.

    With the exception of contemporary works, all works must be performed from memory.

The Master's degree course in Piano Concert Soloist prepares students for a future career in which they will work primarily as freelance artists.

Graduates will be able to work in a variety of professional settings, for example as a soloist or chamber musician.
