Patrik Nikolaos Faroungias received his initial musical training at Pallini Music High School in Athens, graduating in 2023. From 2010 to 2023, his trombone lessons with Spiros Faroungias had a significant artistic influence on him.
He attracted attention early on through his success in competitions, including winning first prize at the Panhellenic UNESCO Competition for Wind Instruments in 2022. In 2026, he reached the semi-finals of the International IPV Competition.
In June 2024, he completed his diploma studies at the Corfu Conservatory, graduating with the highest mark ('unanimously very good') and a first prize. Since October 2023, he has been studying for a Bachelor of Arts in trombone at Nuremberg University of Music under Prof. Uwe Schrodi (BR Symphony Orchestra) and Fabian Kerber (Nuremberg State Opera).
He gained further orchestral experience in 2025 during an internship at the Augsburg State Theatre. He received artistic inspiration through masterclasses with Frank Szathmary-Filipitsch, Prof. Louise Pollock, Prof. Kris Garfitt, and Prof. Ferdinand Hebesberger. Other formative influences include Prof. Jonas Bylund, Angelos Kritikos, Lukas Gassner, Csaba Wagner, Prof. Henning Wiegräbe and Georgos Farougias
