News Success Palina Pratasouskaya Joins Coburg Philharmonic Orchestra

Master’s student Palina Pratasouskaya (class of Prof. Daniel Gaede) has successfully auditioned for a permanent position with the Coburg Philharmonic Orchestra. Congratulations!

Palina Pratasouskaya was born in Minsk, Belarus. She attended the Republican Music High School at the Belarusian State Academy of Music, studying in the class of Natalia Zaitseva. From 2019, she studied with Professor Igor Malinovsky at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden, successfully completing her Bachelor's degree in 2024. She then began a master's degree with Professor Daniel Gaede at the Nuremberg University of Music, also becoming an academy member of the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra.

Palina made her debut with a chamber orchestra at the age of 7 at the Belarusian State Philharmonic Orchestra. Since then, she has performed regularly as a soloist and chamber musician.

She has won prizes at numerous national and international competitions. She has participated in competitions and masterclasses in Russia, Germany, France, Italy, and Azerbaijan. From 2016 to 2019, she participated in the international chamber music festival Musica Mundi in Belgium. From 2015 to 2017, she was also invited to perform at the Minsk-Solingen Festival in numerous German cities. Her first solo concert took place in 2017 in the 'G. Shirma' Small Hall of the Belarusian State Philharmonic.

She has attended masterclasses led by renowned professors including Daniel Gaede, David Frühwirth, Erik Schumann, Kirill Troussov, Latica Honda-Rosenberg, Jérôme Pernoo, Alexandra Soumm, Ivry Gitlis, Menahem Pressler, Mikhail Zemtsov, Vladimir Perlin, Matthew Hunter, Rollo Kovac, Tatyana Samuil and Alexander Trostyansky. She has also attended chamber music courses with the Prazák Quartet, the Heath Quartet, the Talich Quartet and the Leipzig Quartet.

Palina is also the co-organiser of the musical community 'Les Passionnés', which showcases young, talented musicians in chamber music concerts, solo concerts, and contemporary music performances.
