The university's new location on Karl-Grillenberger-Straße 3a in Nuremberg's city centre was officially opened on 21 March under the motto "New Study Rooms - Discover the Grillenberg".

In a festive ceremony, Prof Dr Susanne Rode-Breymann (Chair of Music-Specific Gender Research and Artistic Research), Prof Dr Emilia Parada-Cabaleiro (Chair of Music Education and Artificial Intelligence) and Prof Dr Sebastian Trump (Chair of Artificial Creativity and Musical Interaction) were introduced and given a tour of the new premises.

All three professorships are funded by the Bavarian High-Tech Agenda.

The event was beautifully framed musically and artistically by students of the Lecture in Music History under the direction of Daniel Toledo Guillén, Leonie Früh and Fiona Zimmermann (both on the recorder), Caspar Geer (collage for AI-controlled electronics and piano in the Laboratory for Artificial Creativity and Musical Interaction) and Simona Hellwig (performance "Of self-accep(s)tance").

In addition to office space and an inviting kitchen with roof terrace, the new location also houses the research laboratories for Interdisciplinary Music Research, Music Pedagogy and Jazz Research.

An inspiring space for creativity and research!
