Laura Ion, a Master's graduate from Prof. Daniel Gaede's class, has won a permanent position in the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Innsbruck. Congratulations!

Laura Ion began taking violin lessons at the age of six in Romania. She celebrated her first competition successes at the age of eight. She spent her early years training with Rodica Bucur in her home town of Deva, Transylvania, during which time she won numerous prizes and awards, including first prizes at competitions such as the "Johann Sebastian Bach" in Cluj-Napoca and "Viva la Musica" in Zalau.

In 2011, Laura moved to Stuttgart, where she studied in the gifted class at the city's music school with Ovidiu Abramovici. During this time, she won further prizes in the solo and chamber music categories at "Jugend musiziert".

In autumn 2016, she began her studies with Prof. Valerie Rubin at the Nuremberg University of Music. This was followed by an academy position with the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. She completed her Bachelor's degree under Prof. Reto Kuppel, subsequently completing her Master's degree under Prof. Daniel Gaede. Her commitment and achievements were recognised with the Scholarship for Young String Players and the Germany Scholarship. In 2020, she won the Re-Performability Prize at the D-bü competition with the ensemble Dialogue with a Rose. She also attended masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Yair Kless, Adelina Oprean, Latica Honda-Rosenberg and Ingolf Turban, which provided her with additional inspiration.
